Passing through Golgotha, a place of skull,
A man stood ready to be crucified;

With wicked eyes and proud hearts made sinful,
The crowd all cried, “Let Him be crucified.”

This man called Jesus was tarnished with scorn,
As all our human sin was placed upon Him.

He bore all our sins upon that tree;
For the lamb of God died to make all free;

Three days later from the dead Christ did rise;
The King of Kings from death is made alive!

Christ has crushed Satan’s serpent skull and sin,

Salvation! Salvation! We are born again!
